Today’s surprise problem. Our Xerox WorkCentre M20i, which is supposed to do enlargements from the range 25% to 400% decided that its range was 25% to 100%. After some failed solutions, I located a spec sheet that said the Enlarge / Reduce range was Platen 25%-400%, ADF 25%-100%. ADF is the automatic document feeder. I could not see any way to tell the machine to stop looking at the ADF and look at the Platen. But I lifted the ADF off the platen and lowered it again. That is, I raised the lid and put it back down. Lo, the problem was solved and 400 percent enlargements were back. Turned out the cause was putting a piece of transparency film into the ADF when the user was really looking for the bypass feed tray.
